For over a decade, groups from the Ithaca and Weill Cornell Medical College campuses of Cornell University have met for an annual 3-day event, known as the Keck Biomembrane Retreat. The program includes lectures by faculty and trainees, as well as poster presentations.
The general topics of discussion are membrane traffic, signaling, membrane biophysics and other related subjects.
Historically hosted by former WICMB Director, Scott Emr, and former Chair of the Dept. of Biochemistry at WCM, Frederick Maxfield, the 2024 Keck Biomembrane Retreat will be organized by Chris Fromme, (Interim Associate Director of the Weill Institute & Professor, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics) and Jeremy Dittman, M.D., Ph.d. (Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Weill Cornell Medicine)!
